Hot off the Press, a friends photo of Hurricane Rita's impact to their property. I have to say that although on the West side of Houston we were just fine ( photo to the left being the exception...!).... Rita did impact the East side of Texas quite badly along with West Louisianna, and there ihas been much discussion here about how the press had really covered the extensive damage to about Katrina and New Orleans and not the damage to the Gulf Coast areas because of Rita.










How different it may have all been had Houston suffered a direct hit like New Orleans suffered from Katrina.... What a hurricane season so far over 23 named Hurricanes and already used up this years names and onto the Greek numbering.

Already seen on 'Alpha' and 'Beta' in Mexico and South America, and the season does not finish until the end of November.......

Looking forward to our Cruise at Thanksgiving trusting we do not encounter another Greek named storm in the Caribbean at that time.....will keep you posted
