The Cycle of life .

Nothing lasts forever, there is change in everything.
We should enjoy the beauty whilst it lasts and accept the the rest as it happens.

There is a purpose in everything, yet from the outside it may seem the end, there is always another cycle building up deep within.

Even when the cycle ends before it was expected deep within life goes on and new growth will come back once again

We may see a glimpse of what goes on mostly unseen, but life is teaming, and goes on uninterupted by us.
We do not even notice the things around us most of the time.

  • Hello David,

I've just been catching up on your blog. I like the contrasting content, from hurricane planning to holly blues. Maybe they are not so disconnected, though, what with chaos theory and the butterfly effect.

I do like the ant shots. Now there is a fine example of a society built to last. We have had a visit from their winged distant relatives, bees, recently. It's been a steep learning curve for me.

I couldn't agree more about looking at what is around you. William Blake knew:

"To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
    And eternity in an hour."

    for the whole poem)

Incidentally that passage was quoted by a very talented wildlife cameraman named John Aitchison on Springwatch last night.
