November and Thanksgiving. A time to reflect remember and the opportunity to get away eat drink, relax and oh yes something about Turkey and Pilgrims. So with that in mind where better to go than out to sea from where the Pilgrims came from to settle in this land that people came to call America..... I know, almost tacky lead in , but whatever our reasonsing, we got away on a cruise with 3100 other passengers on the ' Caribbean Princess' for Thanksgiving. I ate Lobster on Thanksgiving almost in an attempt to rebel against that Turkey day event.Me on the back deck protecting my assets.

Pool at the back The Caribbean Princess was a great place to relax, have breakfast and an evening drink.
From the Sky deck at St.Thomas you can see the size of this Monster ship under the skydeck night club a small pool just behind the funnel area wth hot tub. A 'Movie under the Stars' pool in front of the funnel area, and the Caribbean pools and hot tubs in the mid ship area. The Spa pool and hot tubs, at the top front just before the tennis courts then the pool at the bow for the crew. The Ship took us from Fort Lauderdale, for two days at sea, arriving in St Thomas, where we were spent a week for New Year 2002. Then the next day we arried at St Maarten, where we all went Kayaking, a few stories there, but not for sharing here. Another day at sea before arriving at Princess Cays in the Bahamas for beach day, and for me, more snorkling. Afternoon teas each sea day in the formal lounge, films under the stars on top deck showing day and night. Two massages during the week, lots of walking around the ship, gym visits, lots of up and down stairs. I refused to use the elevators, far too easy, and given the amount of food there was to consume stairs was a good way to burin it all off. (16 levels) The average Cruise passenger gains 5-10lbs. I gained 1lb, thanks to swimming snorkling and those stairs. The food at the formal evenings and the 24 hour buffett was great and endless and I helped consume my fair share.

The display of Turkeys and other food at Thanksgiving in the main central atrium..

Me ....1lb heavier

Where better to see a sunset than over the Sea from the Sea.
