St Patricks Day. Who is he ?
Well my initial impression is that he must be a little green Elf that goes around pinching people if your not wearing Green, I think........
Ask anyone who is and no one seems to really know.

Well here is what I found out...
St. Patrick, is the patron saint of Ireland , Which still has be confused as to why everyone in the US celebrates this day. (Oh wild drinking opportunity, that must be it)...Have a Guinness.
Here is the other anomaly about St Patrick .. St. Patrick was born in Britain to wealthy parents near the end of the fourth century. Ah ha !! So he is British.
Why then is he not the Patron Saint of Britain?

Patrick was taken prisoner by a group of Irish raiders who were attacking his family's estate. They transported him to Ireland where he spent six years in captivity.
He turned to his religion for solace, becoming a devout Christian. (It is also believed that Patrick first began to dream of converting the Irish people to Christianity during his captivity)..
That makes him the Patron Saint of Ireland I guess.
He is believed to have died on March 17, around 460 A.D.

Here is my own little 'pinching' St. Patrick.

Todays update so far;
Alergies really bad today, green pollen covering cars pathways and windows I'm sure this must be linked t0 St Patrick. If so I don't understand why he is a Saint. I cant stop sneezing. .

The Dyson Vacuum cleaner was utlized again today and on emptying the dust container I realized it is broken. Little hinge snapped... The vacuum still works but I called Dyson and the Lady said "you broke it already?"
Explaining that is was my most favorite Gadget next to my Camera they are shipping me a replacement of the whole unitil that this is part of. What a great company.
