Another day in London St.Patrick Day Parade and Celebrations:

Always great visiting London, especially when the weather is so great. In fact although it was sunny we had to stop and dress up as the wind was bitterly cold.

Salvadore Dali statues along the river. Just love them but never been into the exhibition.

London tourist Shot. To cover their liability against people who can' t be accountable for their own actions when they stand too close and annoy the horses.

The sign next to the Guards House now says, keep back these horses may kick and bite....and so they should, all tourists who think it cool to stand to close to the horses for photos whilst trying to make the guards smile.

Another typical Tourist shot.

Big Ben?
I can hear it but can't see it.

Trafalgar Square fountains Green water today.

The town Cryer calls out at the beginning of the Parade.

There were hundreds of bands.

Irish Mythology represented in many colourful displays.

The Lepricorn

After the Parade we returned to Trafalgar square
Baloons in the colour or the Irish Flag.

Dignatories spoke abour peace between the UK and Ireland, the new world approach and de-arming of the IRA. Ken Livingstone, the Mayor of London also gave a great speach.

The moment we were all waiting for the release of the balloons. and more Irish music.

After more bands we walked to purchase Helen a warmer sweater then headed to the pub.

Leicester Square had irish Dancers river dance style..

Covent Garden had Irish food and plastic bottle man.

View across Trafalgar Square towards Westminster.

Evening sun, lowers as it just gets colder.

Walking back across Hungerford bridge.

Tim and david's, week in Summary: care of some of Tims photos....

We went to London on the train and we travelled to see an Abbey and Two Castles.

We utilized our little car where ever we went.

It was not a very big car, but like the Dr.Who's Tardis it seemed bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Well to tell the truth it actually was smaller on the inside than on the outside.

We Flew on the eye...

Travelled back to WWI and WWII.

Visited with Nana Ruth..97 years old.

Went to the All England Lawn Tennis Club - Wimbledon

Handled Wild animals.

Whilst staying with Helen.

Was good to see Mum, and stopped over there for many cups of tea.

We both took lots of photos....

Tim was his usual self.

....and we were there for Red Nose Day....

Sunday we head up to London for St Patricks Day Parade. and the weather is cooling off a lot. . .

Friday and Tim and I went to Leeds Castle

The Castle is great and the Gardens are wonderful.

We walked from the car around the Gardens to the castle. It was peaceful no one around and all the Spring flowers were out. Tulips Crocus, Daffodils, Bluebells and many other wild flowers.

Some of the castle dates back to the Norman period, the later part of 11th century after the battle of Hastings. Other parts are from

Blackbird

The Castle is surrounded by a large moat.

To get to the castle you have to cross a bridge.

The Castle extends across a second are of water.

The grounds are large and it is so tranquil, sunny warm and no wind.

The are is surrounded by a bird sanctuary. may birds wander freely around the grounds.

There was a large well stocked wine cellar for groups and conferences that use the Castle each year.
